The Word of God says that we are to let our light shine! When life is full of darkness it's easy to feel like an old storm battered ship adrift in the vast ocean with no anchor or compass to guide it's path! It is during these seasons in life that the light of the Lord who dwells in us should shine brighter than ever before, even brighter than in the days of sunshine and light.
If one spends time with the Lord and trusts in His Word, then there is no way that that bright light won't shine force and light the path and even that of those who are around it's bright and far reaching beams of everlasting brightness!

So true and so thought provoking!
ReplyDeleteI so agree with you Day!
DeleteVery interesting and Biblical! I want to learn how to shine for the Lord!
ReplyDeleteHello Dahlia, so happy to "see" you again! I hope you are feeling better and that those storms have safely passed over you and yours! Very true, this article has proven very helpful! The mere fact that you want to shine for the Lord, tells me that you will in fact do just that, as it is a willing heart that the Lord looks for!
DeleteI just heard a wonderful sermon on this very topic, this is like confirmation, thank you!
ReplyDeleteIsn't always a wonderful thing to feel confirmed on anything really but most especially when it comes to spiritual things!
DeleteMay His light shine through me!
ReplyDeleteThe Word of God says that He looks on the heart and not on the mere outside or looks or appearance of a person so keep looking to Him for ways in which He will choose to use you.
DeleteThis is so beautiful and so true, even though it's often easier to just be a tiny burning candle instead of a bright light.
ReplyDeleteSmilja I love that analogy! but you know what, even a tiny burning candle can light up the darkness!
