As you all know, the usual place to find out what I have posted (and your wonderful comments as well) is on our "Lately" place. Announcing.....

As you know, we recently celebrated our 1st birthday. In response to a couple of great suggestions from a couple of our site friends/members, I am pleased to announce the following! Starting May 1,2013 we will be having a semi-contest. Why semi-contest you ask? well life is hard enough already, there is enough competition in our lives as it is, far be it from me to add to it. So, as these two fine friends suggested, and I am not dropping any names haa haa haa!(Sarah and Lacey). They, as well as all our blog family and myself, would love to see our "family"grow, and have fun together as we encourage one another in the Lord,grow in Him, and share the Gospel with others.  The challange is this: at this moment in time we have approx. 28 members and our blog has had 2,619 hits in the year we have been in existence. So, it is really simple. If you wish to "enter" the semi-contest, just tell your friends and family about us,maybe share on your social networks and ? Ask them to just check us out, no obligation to join of course. If one of them decide to join, they must give us "your" name so we can know who to give credit to. The semi-contest will close on May31st. The person who has had the most friends "visit" our site will receive a $20 gift card to an "eatery" in your area. The person who has the most friends "join" will win a  "$40 visa or master gift card. Obviously these prizes are not monumental or large but it will make for fun as the "committee" suggested! Keeping in mind that the main goal is to grow our site,not simply for the sake of growing but first and foremost for the spreading of the Word and love of God! and to be comfort and support to one another, even if it is just  in some small way. The prizes will be awarded in June. One last thing, the "committee" raised one question: the question was, "what if people just get people to join in order to win the contest? My reply was and is : If that is the case, then there is nothing I can do about dishonesty or alterior motives that might exist in anyone's mind or heart. It would be between that person and "whom" they answer to. Besides, as I said I want us to have fun together as we grow together! And, I am pretty sure, though I have never met most of our online family before, that we are all just trying to live for the Lord and grow in Him, what better way than together. Sorry this is so long but this is the only place and time the semi-contest will be mentioned. Lastly, please direct your friends to introduce themselves in our "coffeshop" they don't have to say anything about the semi-contest, they should just simply state that they heard about us for "you"...that's it, let's have fun with this!

 

Happy 1st Birthday to "US" !

Yes! our blog/site is 1 yr old!!! actually our birthday was on March 17th but I simply forgot to acknowledge it. Never too late to celebrate something good or important ! So, happy birthday to everyone of you! Thank you so much for your friendship,and love, and for being such an important part of our little online family! May the Lord bless you all greatly today and always!!!!.....

 

Bended Knees still bring God's Power

Recently it seems that every where I go I hear  people say, "God doesn't perform miracles anymore, miracles ended with the Old Testament!" Well, please excuse me while I say "bologna!" yes, bologna! I believe God still performs miracles today, not only because I have witnessed them but also because His Word tells me that He does. The Word of God says that He is the same yesterday,today, and tomorrow(forever)! So, if that is the case then He must still be performing miracles today. Either way one looks at it,the main miracle we need to be concerned about in our modern times is the wonderful miracle of salvation! The miracle that comes through faith in Jesus Christ. One thing for sure, our nation needs a miracle to get back on the right track, back on it's feet. God still honors the bending of our knee, not to ask for a miracle, or desire, or need as much as to show HIm the honor and praise due Him. Thus, our bended knee becomes an act of faith!

He Cares for You!

 Matthew 10:29-

—Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will.
If God takes car of the birds, he’ll take care of you!
Consider the sparrows.  They do not drink Maalox.  They do not read the Wall Street Journal or Better Homes and Gardens.  Yet I attend the funeral of every sparrow that falls.  Are you not much more valuable than they?  If I take care of the sparrows, won’t I take care of you?”  Sparrows do not sow, they do not reap, they do not gather into barns.  Sparrows do not have conferences and say, “This is how we’re going to increase production next year.”  But God feeds them.
If God takes care of the birds, He’ll take care of you.  Some people hear what Jesus said and they say, “That’s for me.  I’m not going to work.  I’m gong to climb a tree and open my mouth.”  The fact is, god provides worms for birds, but he does not throw them down their throats.  Worry kills more people than work.  Some of you are playing it safe and doing neither.  Birds don’t read books about how to relax.  They don’t say, “Next year, bird, we’re going to eat, drink and be merry.”  Birds do not overindulge.  They only get fat when someone—
Man—puts them in cages.
Men, on the other hand, get greedy.  They ignore God’s provision while they stockpile and hoard and accumulate wealth.  Then they start depending on Maalox to get them through the day and Valium to get them through the night.  They live on the naked edge and their homes are living war zones, all because they’re afraid somebody’s going to get all they have.  Finally, when men get their bodies and minds so worried that they can’t lie down at night, then they go to the sporting goods store, by an expensive set of binoculars, and go out in the country and watch the birds—the birds who know that Go will take care of them, that God will protect them, and God will provide for them.
Are you as smart as a bird?  Then why are you dominated by stress?  Stop worrying.  In Jesus’ name, take every care you have and give it to the Lord!
                                                

 

                                                                 

The Miracle we prayed for is here!

Special thanks to everyone who prayed for "Stella!"...the Lord has done the great miracle. She was taken off the vent last week, and went home a few days later. As would be expected, she is very weak and needs to regain her strength and mobility.
  Please continue to keep her in prayer as she rucuperates
She, and her family wish me to tell you how very thankful they are for your many prayers and support. She would thank you herself but as I mentioned she is still quite weak and can only walk a few steps from her bed and is unable to speak.
  May the Lord greatly bless you all for your prayers and showing
the Love of the Father to her! 

Because He lives, we Live!

He is not here, He is Alive!
